About Sherri G. Harris

Sherri graduated from Washington University with a B.A. in Psychology where she was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa Honorary Society. She holds a Master of Social Work with a Specialization in Family Therapy from the George Warren Brown School of Social Work at Washington University. Sherri actively attends continuing education conferences and participates in ongoing advanced marriage and family therapy training.

Sherri has provided counseling services for seventeen years. She has extensive experience working with individuals, couples, families and children, including those with chronic emotional difficulties. In addition to providing psychotherapy, she serves as a divorce coach and child specialist for mediations, collaborative and litigated divorces and as a parenting coordinator for post-divorce parents. 

Experience includes:
  • in Private Practice since 2000, previously provided services in hospital settings and community mental health settings for children, adolescents and adults
  • held position of Treatment Coordinator at Hawthorn Children's Psychiatric Hospital
  • held position of School Consultant and provided counseling services for schools serving children in in grades K - 8
  • conducted numerous psychotherapy groups and support groups for both adults and children 
  •  became involved in the Collaborative Divorce Movement in 2003;  served on the Board of Directors of the Collaborative Family Law Association (2006-2009) including Board President (2008-2009)  and as Committee Co-Chairperson (2005-present)

Sherri's private practice is located in the Clayton- Richmond Heights area on Brentwood Blvd., centrally located and easily accessible to I-40 and the entire greater St. Louis area.
